CHURCH SERVICES TIME CHANGES:
The times of the principal
services in each parish of the benefice will change on 14th April
Hammoon - 9am
and Okeford Fitzpaine - 11am
The benefice Eucharist (on
the first Sunday of each month) remains unchanged at 10am.

The new Come and Praise Service at Child Okeford on Sunday 19th May
incorporates some of the best bits of Messy Church - themed crafts for the
children, informal worship and hospitality. It's a service for everyone,
age immaterial, all welcome. So come and join us from 10.30am for crafts,
coffee and cake, the service proper starting at 11.00am. For more
information, please ring Sue Clayton on 860653.
There will be a "Songs of Praise" service on Sunday 19th
May at 6.30pm in St Andrew’s, Okeford Fitzpaine.
Friday 21st June-the “Okeford
Minstrels” in concert at Okeford Fitzpaine.
Saturday 12th October – Benefice Social
Evening at Okeford Fitzpaine.

Volunteers are still desperately needed from the
Holy Rood congregation for the tasks of Sidesmen and Coffee in Holy Rood
Church. Should you feel you could help
with these tasks, please give your names to Diana and she will explain what the
task entails and then include your names on the Rotas. Thank you in anticipation!
On Sunday 19th
May at 10am the Pilgrim Covenant Renewal Service will be held in St Mary’s
Church, Sturminster Newton with the Bishop of Salisbury, Bishop Nicholas.
|ADVANCE NOTICE – ‘DOGS WITHOUT COLLARS IN SHAFTESBURY’ – Friday 19th July 7.30pm- 10.30pm Shaston Social Club. This will be the very last opportunity to sing and dance along to the Dorset all-vicars rock group – ‘Dogs Without Collars,’ which includes Rev Clive from Shaftesbury as drummer - as this is the last gig in their farewell “Don’t put me down” Tour. Funds raised will support our Blackmore Vale Deanery and Diocesan link with Lui in South Sudan. The group will disband after this gig as Clive and his colleagues go their different ways in serving the Lord. Tickets will be on sale soon from the Shaftesbury Team Office. NO age limit! fundamental duty and a joy of being a Christian to share one another’s burdens
in prayer, and come in the Spirit of Christ before God our Father, as we plead
for the Church, the World, the Community and the Suffering.
In some of our
churches you will find little Prayer Cards on which you may ask for a prayer on
behalf of someone else or yourself. These will be used during Daily Prayer or
may be incorporated in Intercessions at Worship on Sundays.
Rector is always happy to visit people in the Benefice, whatever the
